On March 22, the volunteers of “Odessa Volunteer Community” visited the participants of the Warm House program of the Hesed Shaarei Zion Charitable Foundation as a part of the Shabbat Guest project and brought treats in honor of the Purim holiday in cooperation with the Purim Postman project.
Purim is a reason to meet family and friends! On March 22, Hillel students and representatives of the Odessa Volunteer Community attended the Warm Home program of the Hesed Shaarei Zion Charitable Foundation. They spent their time together and gave each other small gifts.
In honor of the past holiday of Purim, we fulfilled the commandment of the wise men Mishloah Manot and brought traditional holiday treats to the table – Hamantaschen. The treats were cooked by the students of Hillel the day before. The wards talked about the recent celebration of Purim, and we also discussed the historical traditions of this holiday and the way these traditions are kept nowadays. Everyone enjoyed this the meeting, and had a lot of positive emotions! However, it could not be otherwise!
