Volunteers from Odessa Volunteer Community together with the Monster Corporation charity foundation took part in the Good Lunch project on August 6. The goal of this project is to treat with a delicious lunch elderly wards and those in need, and this is absolutely free.
In addition to OVC volunteers, the event was attended by our friends the sunny city of Miami, the USA. We were able to treat everyone. Then we and our foreign guests went on an informal Jewish tour from volunteers.
The volunteers learned a lot about the work of the American Hillel and the volunteer movement in the USA. They also talked about the work of the Odessa Volunteer Community center and big projects. The tour included visits to a synagogue, Odessa “Hillel”, which always welcomes guests, and the city fair. And, of course, they talked about the kitchen. The volunteers treated guests to a traditional Israeli dinner in Odessa – falafel with hummus.
We believe that such an opportunity to communicate and exchange experience is an important part of the success of any team. Come to visit us!
