A trip to Krasnoselsky orphanage for girls.
On September 15, a group of volunteers of the League of Jewish Volunteering went to Krasnoselsky orphanage to congratulate the children on a very important holiday for the Jewish people – Rosh Hashanah.
We gave the girls apples and honey and talked about the traditions of the holiday. Then we held a wonderful master class on Quilling. Volunteers made decorative apples and shofars, hearts and postcards, abstractions and many other things. To say that the meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere is an understatement. The meeting was so warm, pleasant and sincere that it will remain in memory of children and volunteers for a long time. When we are looking at these shining eyes and smiling faces, our hearts beat faster. Although we visited the boarding school for the first time, everyone was interested in one question: “When will be the next meeting?” And we discussed the plans of the next meeting on the bank of the river. During the walk, we had an opportunity to share our emotions and impressions, and we also enjoyed nature, clean air and the energy of the earth. This inspired us to new ideas and good deeds. Let’s do good deeds together!
